Futures Instant Rules

All the rules for your Futures Instant account: drawdown, Daily Pause, consistency, contract limits, holding and prohibited practices.

Maximum Drawdown

Your maximum drawdown is $2,000 on a $50,000 account and $3,500 on a $100,000 account. It's calculated on your end-of-day (EOD) balance and works on a trailing-to-static model: the drawdown level trails your highest EOD balance upward until it reaches your starting balance, then locks there and stops trailing. If your balance falls to the drawdown level, the account is breached.

Example ($50,000 account):

  • Starting balance $50,000 → initial drawdown level $48,000.
  • You end the day at $51,000 → level trails to $49,000.
  • You end a later day at $52,000 → level reaches $50,000 (your starting balance) and locks there — it won't trail higher even if your balance keeps rising.
  • Until your accumulated EOD profit passes $2,000, your Daily Pause stays at $1,200 (60% of $2,000 = $1,200).
  • Your accumulated EOD profit reaches $2,300 → Daily Pause rises to $1,380.
  • You lose $300 the next day (accumulated profit $2,000) → Daily Pause stays at $1,380. It never decreases.
  • Your accumulated EOD profit reaches a new high of $2,900 → Daily Pause rises to $1,740.
  • $50,000 account: up to 4 Mini or 40 Micro contracts.
  • $100,000 account: up to 8 Mini or 80 Micro contracts.
  • Biggest profitable day $1,500 ÷ 0.20 = $7,500 total profit required.
  • If your total profit is only $4,000, your biggest day is 37.5% of the total, so you're not yet eligible — keep trading until the ratio is 20% or less.

        Daily Pause (Dynamic)

Your Daily Pause starts at $1,200 on a $50,000 account and $2,200 on a $100,000 account. It is dynamically recalculated daily as 60% of your best accumulated EOD profit to date. It only ever increases as your profit grows.

If your loss for the day reaches your Daily Pause, your open positions are closed and trading is paused until the next day. Your account is not breached.

        Example ($50,000 account):

        • Until your accumulated EOD profit passes $2,000, your Daily Pause stays at $1,200 (60% of $2,000 = $1,200).
        • Your accumulated EOD profit reaches $2,300 → Daily Pause rises to $1,380.
        • You lose $300 the next day (accumulated profit $2,000) → Daily Pause stays at $1,380. It never decreases.
        • Your accumulated EOD profit reaches a new high of $2,900 → Daily Pause rises to $1,740.

                Maximum Contracts

The number of contracts you can hold depends on your account size:

                • $50,000 account: up to 4 Mini or 40 Micro contracts.
                • $100,000 account: up to 8 Mini or 80 Micro contracts.

                Consistency

                20% Consistency Rule (Blocks Payouts)

Your biggest profitable day must not exceed 20% of your total profit before you request a payout. It does not breach the account — it simply delays payouts until you're within the limit.

The rule resets after every approved payout. It only counts profit made since your last approved payout — or since you started trading, if you haven't had a payout yet.

                Example:

If your biggest profitable day is $600, then the total profit required is $3,000 following the formula:
                $600 ÷ 0.20 = $3,000

                    Profit Target (Payout Requirement)

To request a reward, you need at least $3,000 profit on a $50,000 account or $6,000 on a $100,000 account. If the 20% Consistency Rule requires more, the higher amount applies. Your dashboard always shows your current target.

                    Trading conditions

Overnight & Weekend Holding (Not Allowed)

Futures Instant is intraday only. Positions can't be held overnight or over the weekend. The trading session runs from Sunday 17:00 to Friday 15:55 CT, and any position still open at the end of the session is closed automatically.

                    News Trading (Allowed)

News trading is allowed on Futures Instant, with no window restriction.

                    Copy Trading (Allowed, With Limits)

You can copy trades between your own 2 Futures Instant accounts.

Shared or mirrored trading between different people, or copying signals from an account that isn't yours, is treated as a breach.

                    Hedging (Prohibited)

Holding a BUY and a SELL at the same time on the same or correlated contracts — for example NQ against MNQ — is prohibited. This includes hedging across your two Futures Instant accounts.

                    Inactivity (Hard Breach)

If no trade is placed for 14 days, the account is breached.

                    Maximum Accounts

You can have a maximum of 2 Futures Instant accounts.

                     Micro-scalping - Prohibited

The Trading Pit prohibits micro-scalping because it exploits execution mechanics rather than reflecting genuine market participation. Traders are expected to use realistic, scalable strategies that can be applied consistently in live markets.
What is micro-scalping? Targeting very small price moves with large position sizes and holding trades for only a few seconds.
Is all scalping prohibited? No. Short-term trading based on market conditions with realistic execution is allowed. It's prohibited when results depend on execution mechanics and wouldn't transfer to real markets.
How is it detected? Automated monitoring flags accounts where, for example, over 50% of profits come from trades held 15 seconds or less, or where ultra-fast entries and exits are combined with disproportionate sizing.
What happens if flagged? The account undergoes manual review. Confirmed violations may result in a warning, profit removal, restrictions, or permanent closure.

                    Prohibited practices

                    Grid Strategies (Prohibited)

                    Not allowed.

A grid strategy involves placing multiple buy and/or sell orders at predetermined price intervals, creating a series or "grid" of positions around a price level.

This includes systematically adding multiple positions as the market moves up or down to profit from price fluctuations rather than using independent trade setups.

                    Martingale Strategies (Prohibited)

                    Not allowed.

A martingale strategy involves increasing the position size after a losing trade or series of losing trades, with the aim of recovering previous losses and generating a profit from a subsequent winning trade. This includes systematically increasing exposure as losses accumulate.

                    High-Frequency Trading (HFT) (Prohibited)

Not allowed on any account: executing multiple trades per second, dozens of trades within a minute, rapid-fire entries and exits, or any attempt to exploit speed, latency or feed delays.

                    Violations result in account termination.

                    Gambling (Prohibited)

Excessive risk-taking is prohibited — overexposure to one contract, one-sided bets without analysis, and hyperactive impulsive trading.

Violations can lead to restricted trading privileges, revoked rewards or account termination.

Trading Device, IP & Network Policy
